For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of proven experience in Data Engineering or related roles
- Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines
- Solid knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Experience working with SQL and large-scale datasets
- Experience with modern data processing frameworks (Spark, Flink, or similar)
- Strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, with a DevOps-oriented mindset
- Experience with Kafka or other streaming/data ingestion technologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar tools)
- Solid experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience working with distributed systems and scalable data architectures
- Familiarity with data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English (minimum C1 level)
- Fluency in French is a great plus
- Availability for a hybrid work model, 2-3 times a week in the Porto or Lisbon offices (requires availability to relocate to Portugal)
